ADDING YOUR SOUND TO OUR INTL REGGAE SOUND SYSTEM LIST

Would you like your sound system to be added to our world renown International Sound Systems List at JamworldReggae.com. Would you like your sound system to be a part of the new multimedia overhaul we are working on for this website? Are you a DJ and would like to showcase your talents to the Caribbean online community via JamworldReggae.com and MusicFrEaKCentral.com?  To protect the integrity of our International Sound Systems List by assuring only bonifide sounds are added, we are now requiring that each sound system requesting to be added send us a DEMO PACKAGE.   A DEMO PACKAGE consists of a DEMO and a BIO, both of which are explained below. The way we see it, if your sound is worth your time and effort to mail us this information, then its worth us adding it to the International Sound Systems List at JamworldReggae.com.

DEMO:

DEMO CDs or Tapes should include any dubplates, remixes, special mixing/mc'ing skills, or any other assets you feel makes your sound stand out. The DEMO can be from a live dance or clash, or done at home or in a studio.  All DEMOS should be properly labelled with a Name and Date of the event. CDs are highly preferred but a clean audio Tape will do as long as it is Type II/High Bias. Feel free to send more than one CDs or Tapes - in fact we encourage it. If you are a bonifide sound system then you should already have several CDs or Tapes you can send. Remember that the CDs or Tapes you send represent your sound and might be posted on our site for reggae fans all over the world to listen to, so send us your best work!!   Also, make sure your sound's name is mentioned somewhere on the DEMO (either by an MC, Dubplate, or Sampler/Sound Effect) - otherwise anyone could have produced the Tape/CD!

BIO:

A written Biography (or BIO for short) offers a superb way of letting people know about your sound system. It can be a few sentences, a paragraph, or several pages long - depending on the amount of intriguing and useful info you have to offer about your sound system and its crew.  In your BIO, include the names of your selectors, owners, the region and country your sound is from, how often you play, the type of venues you play at, and anything else about the sound system you feel is important to know. You can explain how your sound came into being, what makes you different from other sounds, what you hope to contribute to the reggae/sound system community, and what plans you have for the future. It's also a good idea to send any pictures or flyers featuring your sound system. If you have a website for your sound system that already contains all this info, then simply include a note with the website address on it.  You can lso send us this information via Email.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

We get a considerable amount of DEMO PACKAGES weekly from all over the world, so presentation is very important to us. A sound that takes the time to prepare and send a good DEMO and BIO shows us that they have pride in their sound system and are truly devoted to it's success. These are the types of sound systems we would like to feature on our websites. Remember that "sound nuh have sense, a di selecta whey deh behind it" (Junior Reid). How you present your sound in your DEMO PACKAGE is how we (and the rest of the world) will see it as.

Send yor DEMO PACKAGE (containing both your DEMO and BIO (printed on paper or on disk) to:

Send you wickedest Demo immediately to:
         Jamworld Reggae.com
         C/O A. Campbell
         947 East 101 Street 2nd Floor
         Brooklyn. New York,  11236-2617

Updates to your BIOs can also be emailed to us at JamworldReggae@aol.com, but please do not send a DEMO PACKAGE with the DEMO or BIO missing. All items sent to us become property of Jamworld Movements Enterprises. Remember that if you have an upcoming event you would like us to promote (FOR FREE) on our website, simply put "sponsored by MusicFrEaKCentral.com and JamworldworldReggae.com" on the flyer and email a copy in gif or jpg format to us or send us a hard copy at the address above. We can supply our logo via email upon request.
